Happy holiday season! Now that it’s November, I guess that kicks it off, right?!
I know this post is a little late as Halloween was last Thursday, but better late than never right? I obviously knew that Halloween this year was not going to be enticing to an 8 month old. He was going to wonder what the heck was going on. It was most definitely more for me, but we partook in the holiday and got some cute pictures.
I was looking for things to do with an 8 month old all week such as a play group or something where you brought your babies in costume. There were several places like Boo at the Zoo to do that, but they were all the previous weekend. There were also a couple more places that hosted kids’ Halloween parties where babies could attend, such as The Mama’hood, but that is a further drive than I wanted for what I knew was going to be such a short lived experience.
We decided to go to downtown Parker for their Trick or Treating on the street. It was a nice event. They closed the street which was lined with vendors and kids ran awry. As luck would have it, Aiden fell asleep right as we were leaving in my arms and really didn’t fully wake up the entire time. He was less than amused at all the activities and we stayed there for about 30 minutes and then went home to tend the house for our trick or treaters.
I thought that Aiden would have been interested in seeing other kids dressed up because he’s so observent and loves other kids, but he was too tired to deal with it. Oh well… there’s always all the years to come.
Did you have a good Halloween?
What did your kids dress up as?
