And just like that, it’s 2014.  I hope you all had a fun (and safe) new years and are kicking off the new year feeling great.

I have a few things that I want to put on my 2014 “to-do list.”

2014goals

Health

Start Oil Pulling.  I’ve been hearing about this for quite some time now and I’m going to try it to see if I notice any difference in myself.

Continue my lifestyle in eating gluten, dairy and egg-free.  I feel so much better eating this way.  I feel confident that this way of eating is best for me.   I accidentally got some dairy yesterday in a drink and noticed it immediately by my stomach hurting.

Run a half marathon.  I would have done this a long time ago had my body agreed with me.  I totally have the motivation to train for it, so I hope I don’t get injured in the process.

Eat two veggies every single day.  Some days I get way more than this and some days I don’t get any.  I need to be better about this.

Relax and not sweat the small stuff.  I admit there are some days I need to take a chill pill.  I need to remember to breathe – most things aren’t a big deal!

Family

Go on 12 hikes this year.  David and I decided that since we live in a beautiful place where hikes are plentiful, we should take advantage more.

Be mindful of our technology use around Aiden.  I don’t want him being addicted to technology at a young age, so I want to be a better example.  When I’m spending time with him, I will be present with him and not on my phone/computer too.

Save “x” amount of money.  David and I always have financial goals and this year is no different.

Professionally

Find a place to practice acupuncture.  I found a place in January of 2013 and it didn’t work out for a variety of reasons, so I hope to get back to building that business.

Connect with more bloggers.  I love our blogging community and I want to grow relationships with more bloggers.

Post 3-5 times per week.  I’d like to continue this streak by posting quality content.

I know not all of these goals are SMART goals and I’m okay with that.  I don’t like be rigid on things at this point in my life with a baby.  I hope everyone has a good first day of 2014!

Questions:

What’s your goals for 2014?

Happy New Year! My first goal is relax…I’m so tired from our trip up to see family. I didn’t realize how much harder it would be with a baby on a road trip. Oy.

  2. What a great list!! I love that you broke them out in to categories! A little bit of everything. And you can practice acupuncture on my back he he!!
